We are seeking a Full-Time Stock Controller to join our dedicated team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Stock Controller, someone with pharmacy experience looking for a new challenge, or an individual with a strong retail or management background who is eager to build a career within the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from our experienced leadership team, providing the tools and confidence needed to succeed in the role.

The Role

As Stock Controller, you play an integral role in the management of inventory and supply chain operations of the business. Your role is also responsible for maintaining the pharmacy to the retail standards of TerryWhite Chemmart, executing promotional displays and completing relevant administration tasks to prevent products from being out of stock, and managing stock on hand. Ensuring processes are maintained for expired stock, stocktaking, new products, and database management. You will be required to generate and interpret reports reflecting the performance of sales and database integrity. You will be required to carry out sales activities in the pharmacy, by providing exceptional customer service and making recommendations for over-the-counter products, as well as advice for their use (in line with your level of experience and training) and processing sales at the till. 

This is a full-time opportunity offering 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate stock ordering, replenishment and inventory control in partnership with the Manager
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and proactively manage out-of-stock and low-stock items
  • Utilise stock control systems to monitor inventory performance and identify opportunities
  • Generate, analyse and interpret stock and sales reports to optimise range and availability
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, ordering issues and supplier shortages
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and support inventory administration
  • Support promotional, catalogue and new product ordering activities
  • Identify product trends and opportunities across key categories
  • Maintain high merchandising and store presentation standards
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and retail sales support
  • Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and contribute to a well-organised store environment
  • Work collaboratively to continuously improve inventory performance
