Thompsons TerryWhite Çhemmart Eltham is currently seeking a Compounding Pharmacist Manager who has experience leading a team, and managing the compounding section. This role offers opportunities to develop your management and leadership skills through mentorship, training and on the job coaching. You will lead a team of five, managing compounding requests via phone and email, focusing on customer and doctor engagement.

The Position: 

Thompsons TWC Eltham is a multi service Pharmacy, and your role, leading the Compounding team, plays an important role in the ongoing success of this Pharmacy. Working alongside an experienced Pharmacy Manager, you will deliver outstanding healthcare services to this established and well-regarded, community pharmacy. You will also enjoy a structured onboarding experience, on-the-job training and development, plus a clear career pathway within our network of TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacies.  

As Compounding Pharmacist Manager, you will have the opportunity to:  

• Preparing and dispensing personalised medications, including topical creams, ointments, capsules, and solutions
• Collaborating with prescribers to understand patient-specific needs and develop effective compounding formulations
• Ensuring strict adherence to compounding standards, regulations, and safety protocols
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to compounded products
• Providing patient counselling and education on the proper use and storage of compounded medications
• Participating in the continuous improvement of compounding processes and quality assurance
• Focus on the business side of compounding with full visibility to the financials.

About You:  

• Demonstrated expertise in medication compounding, including knowledge of compounding techniques, equipment, and quality control measures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, prescribers, and the pharmacy team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care
• Passion for delivering personalised, patient-centric pharmacy services

To be considered for this role you must have a current General Registration as a Pharmacist (without conditions or undertakings) with AHPRA and certification in Compounding.
